2011 Award Winners
School of Design Awards
We would like to congratulate our 2011 award winning staff and students. We have had another successful year with our staff and students receiving a total of 56 awards, prizes, commendations and accolades across a number of prestigious national and international competitions.
This proved to be a fantastic year for our Visual Communication Curriculum, with our Motion Graphics and Animation students winning the top award in 2 international competition categories, RSA Modern Age and D&AD Best New Blood, and being shortlisted in another. Our Interactive Media Design and Graphic Design students also picked up a further 7 prizes and commendations at D&AD and the Cambridgeshire Children's Picture Book Award.
Once again, Fashion, Fashion Marketing and Fashion Communication students have had another fantastic year by securing a total of 27 awards and commendations from Graduate Fashion Week, Mittelmoda, Texprint and the British Fashion Council to name a few! Last but by no means least, our Industrial Design Curriculum have also created an impact this year! Our Design for Industry, Transporation Design and 3D Design students and staff have picked up awards, prizes and commendations from New Designers, Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts (RSA) and Design Innovation Plastics!
