Design Awards

We would like to congratulate our 2012 award winning staff and students. We have had another successful year with our staff and students receiving a total of 52 awards, prizes, commendations and accolades across a number of prestigious national and international competitions. 

This proved to be a fantastic year for our Visual Communication Curriculum, with our Motion Graphics and Animation students being shortlisted for 3 international competition categories, Red Bull Canimation and D&AD Yellow Pencil, and winning another, D&AD Yellow Pencil 'Advertising' brief. Our Interactive Media Design and Graphic Design staff and students also picked up a further 14 prizes and commendations at D&AD, Roses Student Awards, iSTD, Hollywood Music Media Awards and the British Blues Awards. 

Once again, our Fashion and Fashion Marketing students have had another fantastic year by securing a total of 20 awards and commendations from Graduate Fashion Week, Mittelmoda, Traidcraft/Minka and Marks & Spencer to name a few!

Our Industrial Design staff and students have also created an impact this year! Our Design for Industry, Transporation Design, 3D Design and Designers in Residence have picked up 14 awards, prizes and commendations from New Designers, Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts (RSA), Design Innovation Plastics, Design Event MART and ICFF!
