School of Design London

As part of our ongoing strategy to strengthen and diversify our portfolio, we are delighted to announce the launch of Northumbria University School of Design London. Based in the heart of central London, the new school offers a highly professional, intimate and dynamic environment in which individual talents are encouraged to freely develop and flourish to their full potential.

Fashion

The School of Design London has built an international reputation for offering flexible fashion courses that are an exciting mix of practical training, creativity and commerciality.  Known for the emphasis it places on career development as well as links with fashion designers in the UK, every student will graduate with a full understanding of the practical aspects of the fashion industry. Key to our success is the ability to combine the traditional skills and craftsmanship of pattern making and sample development with modern technology, coupled with an understanding of the strategic application of fashion business skills in the global context.

New Courses

The School of Design London is developing a range of new and exciting BA and MA courses for the creative industries that will challenge design stereotypes and force new areas of subject cross-pollination.   Targeting industries which include publishing, media and marketing, the new courses will link areas relating to innovation and diversity in specialist areas of design.

London Postgraduate Hub

The development of our London Postgraduate Hub will focus on providing an inspirational research centre and working base for developing engaging commercial projects and collaborations. Flexible delivery and study options will allow experienced working people to undertake Continuing Professional Development with minimum disruption to working lives.
