1. Why did you decide to study MA Fashion Management & Entrepreneurship?

I was already studying MA Fashion Design Management in India and I thought having a view on business management would be good for me, so I decided to apply to study the MA Fashion Management & Entrepreneurship at the School of Design London!
 
2. Why did you decide to study in the United Kingdom?

I wanted to finish my education in one year and UK universities usually offer this length of study for a master’s degree.
 
3. Why did you choose Northumbria School of Design London, and what did you know about us before you applied?

I did not know much about School of Design London before I applied , but I choose it over others because of its central London location.

4. What do you most like about London, and how do you find the city?

London is a great city and is fun for young people, I find living in London very comfortable as it is a very multicultural city.
 
5. Did you find the Design School welcoming?

Yes

6. How do you find your tutors and the staff within the School?

All of the staff are very helpful which is good.

7. What do you like most about the School of Design?

The fact that it has a very diverse and multicultural environment.
 
8. Tell me a bit about your course?

My course is very exciting,  I like the fact that we are given live industry projects and research work , which helps us in analysing aspects of a business in a real life context.

9. If you had to pick an object to represent your course, what would it be and why?

Wall clock - the wall clock is focused towards one goal which is telling a person the correct time, and this course has shown me the importance of time management.
 
10. What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date during your time with us?

I have learnt to think globally in my approach towards every task in both my personal and professional life!
 
11. If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

- Self confidence
- Knowledge
- Global thinking
 
12. If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

If you wish to study this course at the School of Design London, then I would recommend you apply to study this course after you have developed a good base knowledge of the subject.

13. What are your plans now and for the future?

I am going to return to my home country India and hope to secure work there as a design manager for few years, before starting up my own business in casual wear.

14. What skills would you say you have gained/improved since the start of your course?

I have improved in my writing skills, business analysis and planning skills as well as my conversation and presentation skills, as these are all much better than they were when I joined.

15. What new knowledge of your subject area have you learnt so far on your course?

I have learnt new knowledge of ethical issues in fashion, international luxury market, business planning and brand management.

16. How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria School of Design London (for example confidence)?

I am a completely different person now, my confidence have been boosted in every aspect. I have learnt to listen and respect individual opinions and subjective behaviors in different situations, such as when working in teams for various projects.
