Interviews

Fashion Communication Interviews will take place between the 13th - 17th February. There may be other interview dates in March, which are to be confirmed.

Successful candidates will be invited for interview and asked to bring a Visual CV. As confidence and communication skills are a key part of this course, prospective students are interviewed in groups and asked to present their Visual CV to each other, this will last for approximately 1 hour. We know this may sound daunting, but many of our current students found the process enlightening and also said it helped them to bond with the other candidates. Candidates will also be given a mini tour of the School.

We’ve included some Interview Tips in this section to help you prepare and perform to the best your abilities.

What is a visual CV?

It is a creative personal profile made up of images that you feel communicate who you are, what inspires you and what you are most interested in particularly in the areas of culture, fashion and the wider world. The purpose of the visual CV is to help us to find out more about you and to allow you the opportunity to express your creativity. This is not about your favourite designer, though we do want to know what areas of fashion interest you. It is a Curriculum Vitae in a visual form that explains who you are. Think about your favourite novel, film, band and current affairs that have affected you.

Use imagery from newspapers or magazines, photographs, original artwork etc. Add headlines or key word - anything that you feel communicates your message.

It is important to think about your whole presentation including layout, as you will have 5 minutes to deliver this to the group. Your visual CV should be presented on either an A3 board or as a PowerPoint presentation.

We know interviews can be daunting, so we’ve included some Interview Tips in this section to help you prepare and perform to the best your abilities.
