Work Experience
Our graduates have a reputation for 'hitting the ground running' and the ability to make an immediate impact wherever they go. Everything about our course is geared to preparing our students for a successful career in the real world of work. Work Experience is an essential part of our programme. They prepare students for the realities of work. They teach professionalism, discipline, market awareness and help students to develop a commercial edge.
Industrial experience is gained through summer work experience, which is undertaken between the second and third year of the programme.
We help you to secure your work experience in a number of ways. Firstly because of our reputation, the length of time our programme has been running and the success of our graduates we have an incredibly strong and international industry network. Secondly, your year tutor, the programme work experience tutor and the School's Placement Co-ordinator will work with you to find the right company for you and actively help you to obtain a place with them. They will help you develop your CV and provide you with advice and guidance for interviews.
During your time away you will receive ongoing support from your Work Experience Tutor who will always be at the end of the phone if you have any issues or concerns.
Industrial work experience is an invaluable opportunity to gain a real insight into the industry you want to work in. More than that they strengthen your CV and provide you with your own priceless network of industry contacts.
