Tools for Everyday Life Pick up an award at this year's ICFF
This year, our Designers in Residence and some of our 3D staff have picked up the award for Best Products/Accessories at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York.
Following a fantastic response to their collection at last year's event, the Designers in Residence returned to the big apple to show a bigger and brighter collection of their 'tools'.
Distinguished judges from Azure; Dwell; Interni; Intramuros; Metropolis; Wallpaper* picked out the products from the Tools for Everyday Life project for the prize.
Tools for Everyday Life is an ongoing project from the community of practice that surrounds the Designers in Residence Scheme (work from past and present residences and Northumbria Staff).
The project aims to reinstate a balance of artistry, both manual and machines - championing not solely products, but also the things that are used to create them.
