Students were invited to explore the archive with GF Smith staff on hand to add insight and advice which many students commenting on how great it was to have an exhibition like this taking place in the School of Design. GF Smith representatives than gave an insightful presentation to some of ourGraphic Design students.
An evening private view presentation made to industry leaders and invited guests was a great success with over 80 key industry graphic design companies attending and providing great networking oppotunities for University staff.
About the exhibition
Leading speciality paper merchants GF Smith celebrates 111 years of redefining how we view paper promotion with a touring heritage exhibition.
Having grown from a small family business in the late 1890's, to a thriving company with over 150 members of staff and a global sales network - the business has adequate reason to celebrate the impact design has played on its success.
The touring heritage exhibition, launched at the Edinburgh School of Art in October 2009, continues to tour the country's leading Universities throughout 2010 and 2011, stopping in the following cities:- Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Leicester, Nottingham, London, Bath and Brighton.
The exhibition will showcase material which encompasses both European and American promotions.
