Centre for Design Research
Our Centre for Design Research (CfDR) operates at a regional, national and international level to provide knowledge, learning and expertise in the field of human-centred, responsible design.
We work at both the strategic and tactical end of the spectrum, offering new ways of thinking about and being innovative through tailored CPD programmes, collaborative projects, product and service development, knowledge transfer, intellectual property advice, contract research and consultancy.
As part of an established and respected University and an internationally leading School of Design, the Centre for Design Research acts as a focal point for the School of Design’s industry collaboration, enabling our industry partners to draw on extensive resources and expertise from within the School of Design and across the university as a whole. We have worked with different stakeholders including charities, government departments, leading FMCG companies, major fashion brands, SMEs and large manufacturers.
