Judith has been working at SCRI (now part of the School of the Built Environment) since 2001. In 2003 she completed a PhD at Northumbria University in the field of European integration and identity politics. At SCRI, she has worked on a number of projects in the field of community regeneration and community participation, especially the participation of ‘minority groups’, including a project on public engagement in renewable energy projects. She is currently Principal Investigator for an ESRC-funded project looking at the participation of BME groups and dads in Children’s Centre services. She is interested in further developing and combining her research interests in identity politics and community participation, especially in relation to wider migrant issues.
