Sara has worked at Sustainable Cities Research Institute since 2001 as a Researcher. Sara has worked on a number of research projects including project evaluations and consultations with community and voluntary sector organisations, business organisations and local government. Projects have been mainly in the field of sustainable development and local governance, regeneration and community participation.
Sara has experience in undertaking a number of research methods and interests include participatory research with communities and community involvement in local government decision-making. Sara is currently working as part of the Regeneration Exchange project team.

- North East Social Capital Forum case studies.
- Investigation of the true value of Community Farms and City Gardens (CFCG).
- Evaluation of Montagu Community Full Service School and Blakelaw
- Neighbourhood Centre Coordination Project.
- Evaluation of the Capacity Building for Communities Project at Voluntary
Organisation Development Agency (VODA).
