Programme Specifications

The QAA requires that all programmes have publicly available programme specifications providing descriptive and detailed information on programmes.  The site for public viewing of these documents is linked as 'programme specifications search' in the right panel.

The general guidelines apply to all programmes; there are additional guidelines for joint awards and Foundation Degrees. Draft versions of the templates and the delivery supplements are available with a watermark indicating 'pre-validation'; these can be used in the programme development stages, with the watermark removed when conditions of approval are met and the Programme Specification is a definitive version.  

The Delivery Supplement is used to add a new delivery to an approved programme specification e.g. a new franchise or the addition of a new part-time delivery on an existing full-time programme.

The Log of Changes sheet is used to record changes (other than typographical and major changes) and attached to the published Programme Specification.  For major changes, a new version of the Programme Specification should be published.
