Free bus services

• A 37 seat University bus service operates between the Coach Lane and Newcastle City campuses. This is a finite service, with standing room the most the bus can carry is 62 persons.
• The timetable is available on the web and printed versions are available from various Receptions.
• PLEASE NOTE - The 8.31 service from New Bridge Street is very busy and gets full most mornings. Please do not rely on this service if you need to be at Coach Lane Campus for 9am. There is an earlier bus at 7.45 am  from City Campus East turning circle and a later bus at 9.25 am from New Bridge Street.

Transport for organised groups

• We arrange minibus and coach transport for organised groups - field visits, conference excursions, sports travel, etc. - anywhere in the UK.
• Our minibuses frequently carry groups to or from central London, airports and Channel ports and travel widely throughout the North East.
• We can provide minibus transport with our own Northumbria driver for group visits to Europe or the Republic of Ireland.
• Departments are welcome to use the Transport Office as a booking agency for coach hire or other group road transport when suitable Northumbria transport is not available.

Prestige personal transport

• We provide chauffeured transport for conveyance of distinguished visitors, using a combination of hired car and uniformed University driver(s).

Van delivery services

• Scheduled van services carry mail, library books and other goods between campuses daily (Monday to Friday)
• A dedicated van serves Northumbria catering outlets.
• We accept bookings for carriage of goods both locally and nationwide.
