Security Service

The Security Manager is John Anderson who can be contacted on extension 4670.
Responsibilities
- Security of whole Campus and University residences
- Closed Circuit TV(CCTV) surveillance
- 32 Full time staff (including 1 Car Park Attendant & Manager)
We will:
- provide a security service 24 hours per day at the city and coach lane campuses
- provide a contact point for liaison with emergency services as well as a contact for out of hour's repairs
- provide a car park management service
- control visitor access via the contractor and visitor 'signing in' system
- carry out regular patrols of UNN properties and deal with and report any incidents of note.

Customer CareWe will:
- Aim to ensure are staff are always helpful, polite and friendly
- Invite periodic customer feedback on how we are doing.
Complaints Procedure
If you are unhappy or dissatisfied with any aspect of the security service,
there is a complaints procedure. Please put your complaint in writing to
the Security Manager. You will receive an acknowledgement within 5 working
days and a full response within 10 working days.
Complaints can be forwarded to the Security Manager, Facilities Management, College House.
What we expect from our customers
We ask that:
- You make a note of our telephone number and in particular the emergency number.
- You please treat our staff with respect and be polite.
- You help us to maintain a safe and secure environment by reporting suspicious persons.
- You safeguard your personal and the University's property by not leaving things unattended or rooms insecure.
