Travel to Work
The University is committed to minimising the impact of its daily
operations on the environment with specific emphasis on road traffic. To
this end, a number of supported measures have been introduced aimed at
reducing our reliance on private cars - particularly single occupancy motor
cars. The following web links provide you with alternative means of
commuting to and from work which it is hoped you will consider.

If you need your car to drive part of your journey to work, why not try park and ride? Using park and ride you can forget the car congestion in favour of the bus as it travels in the bus lanes which cars are not allowed to do. A new park and ride based north east of the City at the Great North Park is now open, click the link for full details. This service may prove very useful to staff who live in the Northumberland area, and is covered by staff who already have an Arriva Corporate Ticket.
