Management Accounts & Information

Management Accounts and Information is distinguished by two teams working concurrently on reporting financial and statistical information to the Executive, Management, and all areas of the University.

 

Management Accounts - services and responsibilities

  • Regular Management information to the Executive Team, Schools and Service Departments, University Committees and the University Board.
  • Monthly details of project performance and assistance in the project review process.
  • Training of staff throughout the University to interpret and use Management information.
  • Preparation of the annual budget for the University with support to Schools and Service Departments during the budget setting process.
  • Information to support capital funding and other project activity including assistance in the bid authorisation process and investment appraisal.

 

Management Information - services and responsibilities

  • Collation and presentation of Executive and Management reports including the annual Facts and Figures, Annual Programme Review, and monitoring of Applications and Enrolments.
  • Responsible for the submission of statutory returns – primarily to HEFCE and HESA.
  • Responsible for the claiming of funding from HEFCE (via the HESES return) and other funding bodies.
  • Co-ordination of data structures, coding, schedules and management information system as well as HESA returns.
  • Construction and maintenance of the Data Warehouse.
