What can I ask the IT Helpline about?

The Helpline can assist with such queries as setting up your laptop and connecting to the Northumbria wireless networks, accessing your work off campus, topping up your print credits, and how to use your email account.

They can also help with finance queries (SAP), student record problems (SITS) and telephone provision at Northumbria.

How will queries be dealt with?

Helpline staff will take the details of your query down, entering them on the Call logging system. They will confirm your contact and location details. The Helpline email is regularly checked - please give as many details as possible. If the query cannot be dealt with straight away, they will give you a reference number and pass the query to the appropriate team. The progress of the query will be monitored and regular updates given until the query has been completed.

 

The IT Place

If you are struggling to connect to the wireless network, just bring your laptop or wireless device along to The IT Place, and our IT Helpline advisor will help you get connected. 

Open weekdays 10am - 4pm during term time, you can find us on the Ground Floor of the Students' Union, City Campus West.

Coach Lane Campus

There are IT help sessions in the Students' Union Coffee Bar

Every Thursday 10:00 - 13:00 during term time.
