Your Smartcard
The Northumbria University Smartcard is multi functional. It is used for access to the Library, for borrowing items from the Library, access to printing and photocopying facilities in the Library and access to some other areas of the University. Your Smartcard can also be used to access the Sports Centre facilities at either campus on payment of a fee.
It may also be required as proof of ID in an exam.
If you hold a University car parking permit your Smartcard will also be needed to exit the car park at Coach Lane Campus.
The Smartcard is not transferable and may only be used by the person whose name appears on it. It is valid for both campuses of Northumbria University and should be carried at all times.
