Northumbria Students attend ITMB event
Northumbria students studying on the BSc in Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) were among 250 ITMB students who attended the 2009 ITMB event in Manchester on 4th November, organised by e-skills UK as part of the ITMB student development process.

Law Student not Short on Talent
Alex Wither’s, an LLB exempting student has proved that she is definitely not short on talent as she landed herself the Michael Short Prize awarded by Short, Richardson and Forth LLP law firm.

Sarah and Lindsay Dodds, twin sisters left Northumbria with matching First Class Hons Midwifery Studies degrees following a three-year course and have now walked into matching jobs with Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary, maternity department.

Climate Change Awareness Day
On the 24th October, 2009, 181 countries across the world took part in over 5,200 events worldwide to draw attention to the issue of climate change as the days drew nearer to the Copenhagen Conference, and Northumbria’s School of Applied Sciences was part of it.

Northumbria graduate Rob Law, designer of the famous Trunki brand, as featured on the BBC’s Dragons Den, graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Design for Industry and recently returned to his former uni to inspire current design students with his story. Rob also brought with him an opportunity for current students to get involved in a new project.
