Spotlight – new courses from the School of Built & Natural Environment

BA Geography with Crime Science (UCAS code: L311) takes the popular discipline of Human Geography and puts it into the context of a problem solving approach to crime issues.

Students’ will explore and examine the diverse drivers of crime, crime reduction and crime detection with a focus on understanding human interaction with space. This course is a development of the established BSc Crime Science (UCAS code: FL43), the courses differ with Crime Science offering a more scientific approach to the understanding of crime prevention.

Both courses can open you up to many career options, including working with the Criminal Justice system, local government agencies, Fire and Rescue service and the Environment Agency.
 
MEng Architectural Engineering (UCAS code: K102) is suited to students with a passion for being at the forefront of building projects. Architectural Engineers work with Architects and their designs, their role is to analyse the buildings energy performance and look at any building design modifications and environment systems that will allow the building to be energy efficient, comfortable and functional.
