Newcastle Science Festival 2012

Newcastle Science Festival had humble beginnings as part of National Science and Engineering Week. In 2009, the festival was re-launched with a new, youthful identity and an insatiable taste for playful imaginative experiences. The focus was on creating evocative headline events that would stimulate all of the senses and help people connect with science in unexpected ways and in unexpected places.

This year Northumbria University has an even larger involvement with the Festival, with a wide range of events from interactive exhibits/demonstrations to public lectures, taking place both on and off campus.
