Drop in

A drop in slot is the same as a first contact appointment except that it does not have to be booked in advance. It can be used as an alternative to booking a first contact appointment or at a time of urgent need to speak to a counsellor.

The drop in runs every weekday during term time at the City Campus. Each lunchtime there are two drop in slots available allocated on a first come first served basis. Slots are at 12 midday and 12.30. If you would like to use the drop in, come to the Student Services reception in the Northumberland Building at the City Campus at least 10 minutes before the slot time. Our counselling administrator will ask you for some straightforward personal details to register you with the service. You will then be asked to wait in Student Services reception until the counsellor comes to meet you.
