Urgent Notice

The UKBA have proposed a new fee regime for UK visa applications, including Tier 4 and Dependant visas. There is also a Statement of Intent to increase the required maintenance amounts.  If this gets approved, it will come into force from 6th April 2012. Keep checking our web pages for an update on this.

 

Prospective & new students

Find out all you need to know about coming to study at Northumbria University. Detailed information about the preparations you need to make before coming to study in the UK, including information about visas, your finances, your accommodation, the International Student Induction programme programme and life at Northumbria can be found at the Ready for Northumbria page.

Coming to Study booklet is a booklet full of vital information. The booklet will provide  information about essential preparations you should be making, your arrival in the UK, day to day life at Northumbria, in Newcastle and in the UK!  Booklet for 12/13 will be available soon.

The University offers a Meet and Greet service where we will arrange for someone to meet you at Newcastle International Airport and transport you to the University. For further information please visit the Meet and Greet pages of this site.

EU/International Student Induction September 2012

Students coming to Northumbria University from outside the UK are invited to join the EU & International Induction on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th September 2012.
During the EU & International Induction you will find all the information you need to help make your transition to life in the UK as easy as possible. To help you settle in we have arranged a programme of events that will enable you to meet other new students, students who are already studying at Northumbria, you can also find out about the university and become familiar with the campus.  The  programme  will be repeated over two days so you can  choose when to attend , we will cover topics such as University Support  Services , how to register with a doctor, how to open a bank account, and much more.  The programme will also include a campus tour, a tour of the city and an evening welcome party.
You can register for the induction online, further information on the programme and details of how to register online will be posted as soon as they become available.
