Lucy Winskell LLB MBA
Lucy Winskell is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Region, Engagement and Partnerships). She leads the development of Northumbria University’s relationships with government and public bodies, shaping its contribution to regional economic and social development, and further strengthening its links with schools, businesses and the professions.
Lucy read Law at Newcastle University and received professional qualification at the College of Law at Guildford. She also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Durham University Business School.
Previously a partner at Sintons LLP - one of North East England’s leading law firms - Lucy in recent years combined her professional legal practice with non-executive directorships and governance roles in public and private organisations. These have included the Government Office North East, Business Enterprise North East, Darlington Building Society and the regional investment and development company 1NG.
Lucy Winskell is a former member of the UK Law Society council, a former UK President of the Union Internationale des Avocats, and has served as UK chair of the British-American Project, the think-tank and international network for Anglo-US business and cultural relations.
