Identities in Conflict (October 31st, 2018)

The Conflict and Society Research Group is pleased to announce its inaugural event. This half-day symposium, 'Identities in Conflict,' will bring together newer and established scholars, from inside and outside Northumbria, to explore the various intersecting ways identities are shaped, created and ruptured by war and conflict.

We are especially delighted to be welcoming Professor Wendy Webster, University of Huddersfield, to give our keynote. Wendy's recent book Mixing It (OUP, 2018) has been positively reviewed both inside and outside the academy. Her keynote is sure to be enjoyable and thought-provoking in equal measure.

The full programme for this event is available here.

In the interests of managing numbers, we request that you register your attendance via eventbrite
