Applied Information Systems

The Applied Information Systems research interest group is clustered within the Digital Business research theme.

It aims to develop excellent and high impact research, by focusing on contributing to the body of knowledge and business case analyses in the areas of business and information communication technology (ICT), particularly on topics such as health information systems, agile process and project management, process simulations, knowledge management, business intelligence and business analytics, to facilitate and exploit the use of ICT to foster and support business activities within the organisations and externally to its stakeholders. 

The group further aims to perform basic, applied, experimental and professional research, projects and activities for the needs of various stakeholders (local/regional authorities, international institutions, non-governmental organisations and other users, as well as for the professional public).
