Business and Legal History

The Business and Legal History research interest group was set up as an outlet to try and find common research interests that could unite both wings of the faculties of Business and Law.

We held a research seminar series over the course of a couple of years which included scholars conducting research into the fields of business history, legal history, law and history. This seminar series has ceased during lockdown.

Some of the speakers who visited Newcastle Business School include:

  • Dr Andrew Smith from University of Liverpool Management School.
  • Professor Niall Mackenzie of the University of Glasgow, Adam Smith Business School
  • Professor Graeme Acheson from Strathclyde University
  • Professor Nick White and Dr David Clampin from Liverpool John Moores University
