Operations Management Applied to Healthcare (OMAH)

OMAH is a research interest group that brings together researchers and practitioners with a shared interest in applying operations research and business analytics within healthcare.

The group regularly hosts seminars to disseminate research and case studies from experts and leaders in academia and industry.

Operations management has many applications within healthcare. For many years, methods and theory have been successfully used to improve processes and outcomes for patients, healthcare workers, hospitals and other healthcare providers. OMAH exists to facilitate the exchange of  knowledge in this area between researchers at Northumbria University as well as scientists and practitioners from research groups and industry around the world. We organise regular seminars and other events for the sharing of the latest research advances and case studies. The talks are given by Northumbria University group members as well as invited world-leaders in the field.
