Professor Roy Sandbach, Chair, Innovation Board, North East Local Enterprise Partnership

Roy sits on the Advisory Board for Newcastle Business School.

He is Chair of the Innovation Board for the North East Local Enterprise Partnership. In addition, he is Director of the National Centre for Ageing Science & Innovation, hosted by Newcastle University.

Until 2012, Roy held senior global R&D positions with the Procter & Gamble Company.

Nationally, Roy is President-Elect of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Industry Council. He sits on the Science & Innovation Board of the National Centre for Universities & Business. He holds visiting Professor positions at Cranfield University and with Central St. Martin’s College of Art & Design, London.

Roy chairs the North East leadership group of The Prince’s Trust & is a trustee at the Centre for Life, the Newcastle public science centre. He is helping to create North East Futures University Technical College focussing on IT/digital science and healthcare science.
