ESRC Regional Knowledge Exchange Network

This Knowledge Exchange Regional Network brings together a group of social scientists working across each of the five universities in the North East region; knowledge exchange professionals engaged in the region’s Knowledge House Network which again covers all five universities; and a wider network of academics and business engagement staff across the universities, business support organisations and key firms in the region.

A multi-university, multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral endeavour, the Network is supported ‘in kind’ by Knowledge House, a collaborative service offered by the five North East Universities through Universities for the North East (Unis4NE) to help companies access University skills, expertise and specialist resources.

Although the Network will take as its principal concern knowledge exchange within the context of university-business relations, the aim is to create a lasting ‘infrastructure’ capable of shedding light on knowledge exchange activity more generally.
