I am now a qualified Staff Nurse at Newcastle Hospital Trust.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

I is local to where I live, it has a good reputation and good facilities for learning.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

There were a good mix of lectures and practical sessions. The lecturers always provided constructive feedback on how to improve.

How connected was your course with industry?

There were placements alongside my lectures.

If you took on a placement during your course how did you feel this helped you in your career/ with your studies?

The placements helped provided me with the knowledge and skills required after university and in my career.

What was the best thing about your course?

Being able to take part in Erasmus exchange programme during my third year.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

Northumbria opened doors in terms of me being able to choose the area of nursing I wanted to work in.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

Anatomy and physiology along with medication knowledge.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

Being able to take part in Erasmus exchange programme.

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

I would recommend Northumbria as it has a good reputation and staff are supportive.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Well worth it!
