My degree covered a broad range of topics from PR, graphic design, events management and digital marketing. This allowed me to explore various areas of communications and understand what I enjoyed. I have been able to use my skills and knowledge developed through my degree at every stage of my career so far and I’m thankful for the university experience Northumbria offered me.

I’m a Marketing Executive in a B2B and B2C role!

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

Friends choices and nightlife. Also there was a good choice of accommodation.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

Great lecturers and positive attitude across the University! I enjoyed my final year project working directly with a client.

How connected was your course with industry?

We were able to understand various industries which helped when looking at my future career.

What was the best thing about your course?

Great teachers and a friendly group of people of my course.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

It shaped my ability to reach deadlines and respond under pressure! Again, my final year project definitely helped my confidence and affected my interview skills.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

Digital skills such as Adobe creative programmes. Writing for business and consumer and writing press releases.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The campus and the people at Northumbria!

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

It is definitely the right choice in coming to Northumbria and studying in the best city for students!

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Exciting, fulfilling and memorable
