Originally graduating from the BA (Hons) Design For Industry course, Steve worked for a number of years as an Industrial Designer before making the transition to Event and Exhibition Design. Working as the Design Manager at GES, one of the world’s largest Design and Build Event companies Steve oversaw the design and instillation of numerous ‘exhibits’ and worked closely with event organisers helping to guide event ‘themes’ and show ‘feature areas’.
Having achieved a highly notable reputation within the ‘Event design and build world’ Steve chose to return to Northumbria University Design to complete an MA Design to refresh his creative ability and to obtain deeper understandings of design ‘value’.
Steve currently has his own company ‘Diffuse Design’ working as a successful freelance design consultant providing design and creative input to design consultancies and event build companies throughout the UK. His career in Event design has seen him work with and produce designs for many recognisable brands such as Lego, Samsung and Vaillant.
His designs have won prestigious awards including the industry recognised ‘AEO award’ where his designs have recently again been shortlisted.
