What are you doing now?

I've recently moved back into the creative consultancy area with 42 Technology.  In this environment I can utilise my vast experience from within industry to help design great, commercially successful and innovative products.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals / give your career an edge?

When I first graduated Northumbria / Newcastle was the leading industrial design school and ensured prospective employers wanted to meet me - it opened the door.  Ultimately it led to a number of offers from some of the UKs best design agencies.

What was the best thing about your course?

Four years including two placements in industry.

Who inspired you the most, and why?

Our part-time lecturers - young, dynamic and relevant.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now/throughout your career?

Concept creation and visualisation.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

Newcastle - what a city!!!

What advice would you give somebody who is thinking of studying at Northumbria?

Open yourself up to the culture of the city and the surrounding areas, look at what's around you and let it change you.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in 3 words?

An inspiring experience.
