My first qualification was in Quantity Surveying however due to market demand in the function of project management I decided to undertake my Masters' in this area studying an MSc Project Management.

What are you doing now?

I am currently working as a Contracts Manager at Dorsch Qatar giving advice to clients.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

I was really inspired to do further studies in UK and after speaking with friends and family I decided upon Northumbria as my first choice university.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

To be honest the kick-off module on this course was superb due to it being a collaboration of civil engineering and building surveying related studies.

How connected was your course with industry?

My course completely related to my principle chosen industry with some of the lectures having a particular industry focus.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

Globally the United Kingdom is highly ranked for education with Northumbria achiving a high level of student satisfaction than most universities, therefore in my mind this showed the value of a Northumbria degree.

Which skills/ knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

How to face any problems and come to a conclusion analytically and technically.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The library and its vast resources.

What advice would you give somebody who is thinking of studying at Northumbria?

There is no need to have any second option, check the yearly published university ranking magazine and compare the student satisfactory percentage.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Safe and confidence building.
