I went into this career because I enjoyed the idea of talking to other people and I wanted to take on a challenge by learning new things.

I am now a Sales Advisor working for BT.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

The University was local to me and it had a great journalism course.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

Great lecturers, very supportive and lots of practical work in the studio.

How connected was your course with industry?

Very much, we had placement modules and lots of chats with different industries.

If you took on a placement during your course how did you feel this helped you in your career/ with your studies?

Placements helped a lot because they got me a foot through the doorway and I had experience using their systems for example.

What was the best thing about your course?

The lecturers as they were very supportive to me throughout my course.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

It gave me insights into my future industry.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

Writing skills and personal communication skills.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The lecturers and meeting new friendd.

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

To go for it and enjoy your time there by meeting new people whilst you study.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

A great experience.
