I originally started my career as a government official in Bangladesh with the entry post of Assistant Secretary. In 2016 I got promoted to my current role as Senior Assistant Secretary.

What are you doing now?

After completing my Masters degree at Northumbria University in International Development, I have returned to Bangladesh to serve the government as well as people of Bangladesh.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

The beautiful city and the library facilities at the University.

What was the best thing about your course?

The lecturers were very helpful and there were also a very good selection of teaching topics on my course.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

My course will play important role in my career. This course has taught me how to do research and has developed a newfound insight in international development issues.

Which skills/ knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

How to reference and how to think critically on topics and issues around country development.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The library facilities.

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

It is a beautiful and resourceful university for study.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Best time ever.
