Mary Mullen

This is the career path I have wanted to do since I first heard of the role of an EHO during my secondary school home economics classes! Doing an Environmental Health degree is the only route into this career now and having visited many university opening days I was most impressed with Northumbria as a course provider!

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals / give your career an edge?

Studying at Northumbria allowed me to gain the degree which I required to enter this chosen career. I feel I had an exceptionally good education at this establishment.

What was the best thing about your course?

The tutors who were so knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects.

Who inspired you the most, and why?

My dissertation tutor Simon Griffiths who has such a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now/throughout your career?

A range of essential skills.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The location: Newcastle is a wonderful city with such friendly people.

What advice would you give somebody who is thinking of studying at Northumbria?

Go! Do it!
