Career Path: Designer, Broadway Maylan
Location: Mumbai, India

A career in architecture meant more to me than being able to design and have creative freedom. My reason for choosing architecture as a path was because I wanted to be able to build schools, institutional spaces and housing, in order to help grow my country and be a better place for the youth and children. I believe creating spaces that people enjoy visiting, and that is inviting and well-designed is very important in how well the space is used and received. This was especially important when it came to my dream of working on a school project, as I believe the space you are in can change the way you grow. After completing my BA in Architecture from Northumbria, I returned back home to Mumbai, India and soon looked for jobs. I managed to find myself a job in Singapore at a company called Broadway Malyan as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant for 6 months. During this period I learnt so much and gained so much knowledge in designing, sustainability and efficiency. I was also given the opportunity to help an ongoing school project which was very entertaining and educative for me. After my 6 months in Singapore, I received a job opportunity from the same company (Broadway Malyan), but in their Mumbai office, I now work as a Designer at Broadway Malyan, India.
