Taimur Malik

I was very determined and passionate to join the legal profession due to the inspiration I had in shape of Mr. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of my country - Pakistan.

What are you doing now?

At present I am CEO of my own organisation Taimur Inayat Malik & Co (Attorneys & Solicitors), an Islamabad  based leading law firm which represents many domestic and international clients.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

To be honest I was very much fascinated by the legal programme Northumbria University was offering. Not only the support it provides to students but the environment also is truly inspirational.

What was it like studying at Northumbria? 

I had a wonderful experience studying at Northumbria Law School. It not only enhanced my confidence but provided me with a positive exposure towards my career and professional life.

How connected was your course with industry?

It was very constructive, the staff which taught the law programmes were highly qualified and linked with local industry which gave us an idea of the legal world in the UK and across borders.

What was the best thing about your course?

The legal skills and research abilities taught.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

It gave us the confidence and exposure to win in the practical legal world.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

The ability to research and communication skills.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The whole experience was just overwhelming and inspirational.

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

Give your best and learn what you are taught with full dedication. The hard work is worth it.
