Before considering a masters degree at Northumbria Univeristy, I was previously working at the same institution after my bachelors degree B.Sc. Architecture.

As for my second career as a project manager at Erkiz Co. for Erbil World Trade Centre prjoect ( Mall Design Steel Works) It has always been my dream to work and practice my skills on a constructional working site, and luckily, thanks also to my degree at Northumbria which added an extra bonus to my C.V. to be selected for this role.

What are you doing now?

Continuing with my work as assistant lecturer at Salahaddin University - Architecture Department

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

Firstly, me being born in Newcastle city, was the first reason for me to choose Northumbria. I wanted to live and study again at the very same city which holds a special meaning to my heart.

Secondly, the course MA Design sounded very attractive to me, as designing has always been my passion.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

Studying at Northumbria has taught me a lot of things, it boosted my confidence,the mix of students from different backgrounds and cultures, learning new materials, team working, the whole of it has gained me new experiences in so many levels.

What impressed you most about our academic staff?

Their willingness to help and their corporations with students.

How connected was your course with industry?

My course is very connected to industry, in terms of designing, and making contracts with companies.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/give your career an edge?

The course materials, team works, and finally the degree at it's end, all of these were of great help to achieve my current career path.

What was the best thing about your course?

Team working.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

Challenging, Fun, Fulfilling,

What advice would you give somebody who is thinking of studying at Northumbria?

I would give exactly 3 words of advice : Go for it!

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in 3 words?

Fun, Unforgettable, Happiness.
