Where are you doing now?

I became a barrister in September 2011 at the Chambers of Sir Hamid Moollan Q.C., G.O.S.K., one of the leading chambers in Mauritius.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals / give your career an edge?

I was doing my BVC at Northumbria and this was the final step before being able to come back my country to fulfil my dream to practise as a barrister in Mauritius.

What was the best thing about your course?

I had lecturers who were very friendly and who have been very helpful.

Who inspired you the most, and why?

Both my parents were great inspirations for me due to their sacrifice and hard work without which I would never have attained my goal today.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now/throughout your career?

Advocacy skill.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

Newcastle was a vibrant city where social life and studying are both well provided for.

What advice would you give somebody who is thinking of studying at Northumbria?

Northumbria is a university which is within the city of newcastle making life so easy, and, above all, Newcastle Airport is just a drive away from campus making it so easy for students, especially when we have flights to Dubai daily.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in 3 words?

A great university.
