Please tell us about your career path since leaving Northumbria.

When I was a dual student at Northumbria / Accadis (Germany) I worked for a premium automotive client as a part of a team.

After leaving the university I got a position as a etat-lead for my own client, also in the automotive segment.

Please tell us about your current job and what it involves

I work for Wunderman, a direct marketing agency, for well-known clients.

In the function of a etat-lead I had to calculate the annual budget, develop with the strategy department the CRM-Strategy for my client and do the campaign planning. I also coordinate the European members of my client, e.g. Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria etc.

What made you choose Northumbria University?

The possibility for a dual degree.

Why did you choose to study in the UK?

Because Northumbria was the only partner university which offered the dual degree.

What was your favourite thing about your course and/or Northumbria University?

The case studies.

What societies/activities did you take part in outside of your studies?

I really enjoyed Sport Central.

How would you describe the city of Newcastle as a place to live and study?

Absolutely perfect. Really student-friendly.

In one sentence? One word: SUPERB!

What professional achievement are you most proud of since leaving university?

My new position as a etat-lead.

What career objectives do you still have?

Within the next year I would like to become a Senior Account Executive and within the next three years I would like to be responsible for employees (Team Head).

How have your experiences at Northumbria University helped your life and career so far?

It broadend my intellectual horizon. Maybe some companies were interested in me due to the fact that I studied in the UK at Northumbria.

What advice would you give students who wish to pursue a similar career to yours?

Do it.
