I loved the business school and was lucky enough to get one of the Academic scholarships for all the years I studied. The course with a sandwich year also really interested me

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

I really enjoyed my four years at Northumbria. I was really determined from day one to make sure I got a first each year and the great teaching, great lecturers and my peers made it really enjoyable.

How connected was your course with industry?

I did a placement at Volkswagen UK for a year. The management modules were related to industry as well.

If you took on a placement during your course how did you feel this helped you in your career/ with your studies?

I think doing a placement is essential for postgraduate employment. So many people have a degree and doing a placement reallys add something different to your CV after graduating. I’m certain that because of my placement year I managed to secure a great opportunity after graduating and since then I’ve gone onto using the really good knowledge I gained from my placement
