Equality Analysis

Equality Analysis is an equality audit of University activities, a process designed to highlight any discriminatory practice that may be occurring within an organisation and how the impact of the practice can be minimised. In addition the process positively promotes equal opportunities, improved access, participation in public life and good relations.

As well as being a legal requirement, Equality Analysis is an effective way of improving policy development and service delivery, ensuring policy making is evidence based and that we consider the needs of all stakeholders and promote equality.

All staff who are required to develop or review policies are likely to be asked to carry out equality analysis at some point.
