Your Career in Crime

Ellison Building, Room A002

Find out about some extra career routes within the Police, Prison and Voluntary sector which you may never have considered before. We will also be looking at working for Government organisations and within the Cyber Crime industry.

This is a session aimed at students who think they would like to work either with criminals in a variety of roles or work to prevent criminal activity taking place.

We will:

  • Look at different career paths with the Police, Prisons, Voluntary Sector and Government or Private organisations.
  • Encourage you to try and think what you can do to give yourself an advantage to working in this sector; particularly by securing some work experience or undertaking voluntary roles within the community.
  • Look at some of the core competencies which organisations like you to demonstrate throughout the recruitment process and the importance of being non-judgemental, supportive and respectful.

If you require communication or access support please contact Careers & Employment to discuss ways of organising this,
