REVEAL: Architecture at Northumbria University synthesizes a student-centred studio culture with authentic projects, locales and beneficiaries, preparing students for a professional career in architecture and a variety of other careers. A key feature of the course is close engagement with the wider profession at both local and national levels, with esteemed practitioners engaging in studio reviews, presentations and design projects. The success of the programme is evidenced in consistently high rates of student satisfaction, as well as through the tangible successes and achievements of our students. In previous years, students have been shortlisted and achieved success in the international RIBA President’s Medals Serjeant Award and the regional RIBA Hadrian Medals competitions.

REVEAL: Interior Architecture employs a student centered studio culture in line with all of our Architecture programmes. The programme also exhibits at Free Range, London as part of the Interior Educators Graduate Show (13-15 July 2017) where we have successfully won awards. The exhibition reflects the innovation within the studio culture of the programme in preparation for careers in interior architecture and the wider design fields.

REVEAL: Fine Art is a raw, exciting exhibition produced by our graduating Fine Art students, demonstrating an extremely high level of creative achievement. Each student cultivates an individual practice that is distinctively their own and reflects the diversity of contemporary ideas and culture, asks questions and provokes debate. The event is eagerly awaited each year attracting hundreds of visitors who are invited to view a new generation of artists as they make their distinctive mark on contemporary ideas and culture.

REVEAL: Design presents work by Northumbria University’s graduating students across all of our Design disciplines. One of the North East’s most anticipated annual cultural events, REVEAL: Design is respected by many industry professionals and sees hundreds of visitors pass through its door each year. Renowned for producing the best new designers Northumbria Design has alumni working for River Island, Abercrombie and Fitch, Apple, Mars, Habitat, Phillips, BBC and Nokia to name a few. We are confident that this year’s graduates will prove to be just as successful.
