An invitation to the Violet study Dissemination Event

Visually Impaired Older People’s Exercise programme for falls prevention: a feasibility study

At this event, participants, partners and stakeholders in this study, led by Northumbria University, will come together to share the Violet study findings and consider recommendations and directions for research and practice.

The event will be of interest to all those directly involved in community exercise to prevent falls in older people, as well as those working with, or having an interest in, older people, falls and visual impairment services and supports, research, policy and practice.

We are also delighted  to announce that Dawn Skelton, Professor in Ageing and Health at Glasgow Caledonian University, and who is author of the FaME exercise programme, will be our key note speaker.

On behalf of the Violet study team, we cordially invite you to join us and welcome your contribution.

Funding for the study was provided by the Public Health Research Programme of the National Institute for Health Research.

Please see the Programme.
