Training to be a School Teacher

Northumberland Building, Room 306

Are you confused about the different ways to train as a teacher?  Unsure about the best course for you?  If SCITTs, PGCEs, School Direct and QTS are a bit of a mystery to you, this session will make it all clear and help you to choose the right programme.

This session is for anyone who is considering or planning to apply to train to teach after their degree, especially if you are in your penultimate year and thinking about applying to train in 2018-19.

You will learn about:

  • The different types of training provider and the programmes they offer
  • Entry requirements
  • Funding
  • What you can be doing now to get ready to apply in the autumn

If you require communication or access support please contact Careers and Employment to discuss ways of organising this,
