Call for Papers

Details of Submission Requirements

Please note that the Call for Papers for the main conference is now CLOSED. 

However, submissions for the Practitioner Stream will remain open until Thursday 15 March 2018,

Submission for the Doctoral Symposium will remain open until 12 noon on Monday 9 April 2018.

Information for those who have submitted an Abstract:

Abstracts are currently undergoing Peer Review and you will be notified of the outcome in early February 2018.

Peer Reviewing Process

Paper abstracts will be reviewed by two independent reviewers. Reviewers will be identified by the Stream Leaders.

The reviews would be based upon the following criteria:

  1. Significance/contribution to the HRD field;
  2. Aim and purpose clear;
  3. Theoretical foundations,
  4. Appropriate methodology/analytical techniques;
  5. Conclusions/likely conclusions;
  6. Quality of paper;
  7. Relevance of paper to conference theme

Abstracts will be scored 1 (weak) to 5 (strong) for each of these seven criteria.

Final Submission

Upon acceptance of the abstract, final paper submissions will be invited from authors.

These should be submitted by 9 April, 2018, 12noon GMT.

Alan Moon Memorial Prize

The prize commemorates the contribution (in founding and establishing the Forum) of Alan Moon to both the UFHRD and to HRD more widely. The prize is offered at each annual UFHRD/AHRD conference for the best HRD paper submitted to the Conference.

Nominations for the Award are made from submissions to the various streams of each annual Conference. Winners of the Award receive a cash sum and a plaque.
