Foster + Partners Presentation Day

Lecture Theatre 0001, Block B, Ellison Building

UPDATED LOCATION for the afternoon: drop-in session will take place in Architecture Design Studio 112, A Block, Ellison Building

Foster + Partners is a global studio for sustainable architecture, environmental engineering, urbanism and design, founded by Norman Foster in 1967. Since then, he, and the team around him, have established an international practice with a worldwide reputation.

A presentation by Environmental Engineering Partner Andrew Jackson and Mechanical Engineer and Northumbria University Alumni Joe Morrell will show Foster + Partners' collaborative approach to design through real-life project examples. The presentation aims to give students an understanding of how the disciplines of architecture and engineering design can combine to create beautiful, sustainable and iconic buildings.

Following the presentation attendees are invited to a drop-in session in the Architecture Design Studio (112),  A Block, Ellison Building, where those with career aspirations will be able to meet Andrew and Joe to discover more about working at Foster + Partners as a graduate or a placement student and answer specific technical, design or career-based questions.

The day will benefit students from all Architecture courses as well as Mechanical and Construction Engineering programs.
